TO BE ON THE MEND

Good morning everyone. I hope you enjoyed your weekend.

Today we continue with another suggestion from Judit.

Today's expression is: to be on the mend

Meaning: getting better after an illness or injury; improving after a difficult situation.

Example 1:
My son's leg is on the mend and tomorrow the doctor will take out his stitches.

Example 2:
Some people believe that the economy is on the mend, while others think that the crisis has only just begun.
