ACTIVITY BOOK NO. 2: GIVE IT A SHOT
ACTIVITY BOOK NO. 2: GIVE IT A SHOT: meaning and examples
Hello and happy Friday to you all. Are you ready for our last lesson of the week?
Today we are looking at the expression: TO GIVE IT A SHOT
Definition: An expression to encourage someone to try something.
Example 1: I guarantee you the next 30 days are going to pass whether you like it or not, so why not think about something you have always wanted to try and give it a shot!
Example 2: I know you're not interested in yoga, but just give it a shot. Maybe you'll change your mind.
Example 3: I don't know how to paint, but I'm going to give it a shot.
Remember, this phrase and all of the week's lessons are from Matt Cutts' TED Talk "Try Something New for 30 Days." You can learn more about this TED Talk in Ziggurat's Activity Book Volume II, which you can download at the following link: https://info.ziggurat.es/6-charlas-inspiradoras-ted-para-aprender-ingles-volumen-2
Thank you for reading this week's lessons. I hope you learned something new. Have a great weekend! We will see you on Monday.
