ACTIVITY BOOK NO. 2: TO STICK
ACTIVITY BOOK NO. 2: TO STICK: meaning and examples
Hello and welcome to Thursday's Daily Vitamin lesson!
Today's lesson is about the word STICK, but maybe not the way you know it!
You may know STICK as the small part of a tree. Or perhaps as a word to describe something that stays on something else. (For example, a cat hair might stick to your sweater.) But today's definition is different.
Definition: To become permanent; usually, to become a habit.
Example 1: I learned that when I made small, sustainable changes, things I could keep doing, they were more likely to stick.
Example 2: There's nothing wrong with big, crazy challenges. In fact, they're a ton of fun. But they're less likely to stick.
Example 3: I've tried to learn the guitar several times, but it just won't stick.
Remember, this phrase and all of the week's lessons are from Matt Cutts' TED Talk "Try Something New for 30 Days." This concludes today's lesson. Thank you for reading!
