ADORE / DETEST: EXPRESSING LIKES & DIS: meaning and examples

Today we are going to look at two more words that we use to express likes and dislikes. I hope you will not only learn these words, but use them in some future interactions in English.
Today's 1st word is: adore
Meaning: to love and respect someone deeply, especially in a way that shows a lot of admiration or respect; or to like something very much.
Example 1: She absolutely adores her father.
Example 2: I adore chocolate.
Today's 2nd expression is: Detest
Meaning: to hate someone or something very much.
Example 3: He detests any kind of animal cruelty.
Example 4: Sadly, after more than 60 years of marriage, they have come to detest each other.
