ANIMAL IDIOMS: COLD TURKEY

Today we present yet another common English idiom that has an animal in it. 

Today's Animal Idiom is: Cold turkey

Meaning: to stop doing something suddenly and completely.

Example 1: Mary decided to suddenly stop drinking coffee and tea. She quit cold turkey.

Example 2: A couple of weeks ago Danny decided to quit drinking alcohol. He quit just like that... cold turkey!
