Today we look at a verb that is often used colloquially.

Today's word is: BABBLE

Meaning: to speak quickly and continuously in a foolish, excited and often incomprehensible way.

Example 1: Rick has not stopped babbling about his holiday in Japan. It's hard to get any work done with him around.

Example 2: I think Jim has had too much to drink. He's over in the corner babbling on and on about his failed relationship with his ex-wife.

If you would like a bit of practice, I challenge you to create your own original sentence using this word. You can post your sentence on one of our social media sites (Facebook or Twitter/X) and we will give you feedback about it ASAP.

Enjoy the rest of your day and I'll see you tomorrow with another lesson.

All the best!
