BACK TO SCHOOL VOCABULARY (EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES)

Today's expression is: Extracurricular Activities

Definition: An extracurricular activity or extracurricular subject is not part of the usual school or college course.

Sentence 1: While attending secondary school, he participated in a lot of extracurricular activities, such as basketball, football and the chess club.

NOTE: this expression is often used to refer to something a person does secretly or unofficially and not within their normal work or relationship.
