Hello again everyone. I hope your week is going well.

Today we continue our look at words and expressions related to going back to school, since September is a common month for the new academic year to begin.

Today's expression is: Principal (US English) / Headteacher (UK English)

Definition: the person in charge of a school.

Sentence 1: We had a student council meeting the first Friday of every month in the principal's office.

Sentence 2: Although a bit nervous, she was very excited for the next academic year, as she had been appointed the headteacher. It will mean more work, but also an interesting growing experience.
