BACK TO: meaning and examples
Hello everyone. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin!
Today's expression is: back (to)
It means: to return.
In fact, I use it almost every day in these lessons when I say "welcome back." We often use it after the verbs go or come.
Example 1
I feel ready to go back to work after four weeks of holidays.
Example 2
I hope you come back to Barcelona soon.
Example 3
Can you come back* home when you've finished the shopping?
If you have kids, you may decide to go to one of the back-to-school sales at a shop or a department store in August or September, before the new academic year starts.
If you would like some extra practice, I encourage you to create your own original sentence with this expression? You can post your sentence on one of our social media sites (Facebook or Twitter) and we will give you feedback as soon as possible.
Have an excellent day!
