BAKING VOCABULARY (TO KNEAD)

Hello everyone. I hope all of you enjoyed your long weekend, if you live in Spain. 

This week we are going to look at some verbs related to BAKING. As you may know, BAKING is cooking done in an oven.

Today's verb is: TO KNEAD (pronounced the same as 'need')

Definition: to press something, especially a mixture for making bread, firmly and repeatedly with the hands and fingers to make it smooth.

Sentence 1: When I was a child, I used to help my mother when she was baking bread. She would let me knead the dough.

Sentence 2: If you want the bread to have a good texture, be sure to knead the dough until it is smooth.
