Welcome to the last Daily Vitamin lesson of the week. Happy Friday! I hope you are having a good day, and I hope you have had an excellent week.

Example 1: She’s been burning the midnight oil all week to prepare for her final exams.

Today's 2nd metaphor is: A storm of emotions
Meaning: This metaphor describes a situation where someone is experiencing intense feelings, like anger or sadness.
Example 3: After the argument with his friend, John felt a storm of emotions brewing inside him.
Example 4: Watching the old family videos brought on a storm of emotions she hadn’t felt in years.
👉 One last time this week, I encourage you to write your own sentences with one or both of today's metaphors. You can post your sentences on one of our social media sites (Facebook or Bluesky) and we will give you feedback about your sentences ASAP.
I hope the rest of your day goes well and I hope you have an excellent weekend.
Remember that next week is Semana Santa (Holy Week) in Spain, so there will be no Daily Vitamin lessons.
We'll be back on Monday, April 21st, with lessons about some interesting idiomatic expressions.
All the best!
