BUSINESS JARGON: BANDWIDTH
BUSINESS JARGON: BANDWIDTH: meaning and examples
Welcome back everyone and happy Tuesday to you.
This week's theme is Business Jargon. We had a somewhat cliche phrase for yesterday's lesson; and today's word is also a little overused (but important to know).
It's the word: BANDWIDTH
Definition: The energy or mental capacity to complete a task or project. (This originally comes from the word bandwidth, related to the internet.)
Example 1: I would love to start this new project, but we don't have the bandwidth right now.
Example 2: Do you have the bandwidth to take on a new client?
This word originally comes from its use related to the internet. In this case, it refers to the amount of data that can be sent over a network in a certain amount of time.
That's all for today. I hope you had the bandwidth to read today's lesson!
I'll see you tomorrow with a new lesson.
