Today's phrase is: LOW-HANGING FRUIT
Definition: The easy-to-complete tasks or easy-to-solve problems. (Similar to the easy-to-pick fruit that is on the lower branches of a tree.)
Example 1: Let's start with some of the low-hanging fruit, like organizing the office, before we start invoicing.Â
Example 2: Maybe we can save the conversations about our new business plan for later in the meeting. We should begin by tackling some of the low-hanging fruit.
To be honest, many think this phrase is overused and a little cliche. But that's also why you should know it: you’ll probably see it and hear it in correspondence!
