CASE-2: meaning and examples

Good morning everyone.

Today we continue our short series of Daily Vitamins about English expressions with the word CASE.

Today's expression is: get off my case (informal / spoken)

Meaning: used to tell someone to stop criticizing or bothering you.

Example 1:
Patrick: You haven't finished the report yet? You are slower than a seven year itch!
Crag: Get off my case. I'm fed up with your comments! I've been very busy with other things.

Example 2:
I wish Jack would get off my case! It doesn't matter what I do or how I do it...he criticizes my work. I can't wait to find a new job.
