Today's expression is: a case in point

Meaning: a clear example of the problem, solution, situation, etc. that is being discussed.

Example 1:
He is one of the greatest authors of all time. A case in point is his latest novel. It has been at the top of the New York Times bestseller list for more than a year.

Example 2:
The battle for the Spanish football league title is not over yet; a case in point is the 7-0 victory of Real Madrid over Malaga yesterday.
