CHANGE-3
CHANGE-3: meaning and examples
Today we continue our look at expressions with change as a noun or a verb.
Today's change expression is: a change of heart
Meaning: if you have a change of heart, your attitude towards something changes, usually making you feel more friendly, helpful, etc.
Example 1:
Alex: I thought Lori and Aaron had split up.
Mike: No...apparently not. Lori had a change of heart and decided to give Aaron a second chance.
Alex: If you ask me, I think she's crazy. He's going to cheat on her again and again!
Notice that today's expression is similar to yesterday's expressions (change your ways or change your tune), although not exactly the same.
Example 2:
My mother wasn't going to let me come to the party, but she had a change of heart in the last minute... so I'm here!
