CHERISH THE MEMORIES
CHERISH THE MEMORIES: meaning and examples
Happy Friday, everyone. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin. I hope you are having an excellent day.
Today we are presenting just one phrase that we can use to express sympathy and condolences.
Today's sympathy phrase is: Cherish the memories.
Use / explanation: We use this phrase as a reminder to focus on the positive memories of someone who has died.
Sentence 1: I know you miss your husband, but try to cherish the memories you have of him; they will always be with you.
Sentence 2: Sometimes I miss my uncle so much; but I cherish the memories I have of him. It's as if he is still with us.
Of course, you can also use this phrase for some other, more positive, aspects of life.
Sentence 3: I cherish the memories of when we lived in New York. Those were the best days of my life.
👉 And of course, to get some English writing practice, I encourage you to write your own original sentence with this phrase. Please share your sentence on one of our social media sites (Facebook or Bluesky) and we will give you feedback about your writing ASAP.
I hope you have a great rest of the day and a wonderful weekend. We'll be back on Monday with a lesson about expressing uncertainty and doubt.
