Definition: The total greenhouse gas emissions caused by an individual, event, organization, service, or product.
Example 1: I try to reduce my carbon footprint by taking the bus and riding my bike.
Example 2: It's difficult to reduce my carbon footprint because my job requires me to travel a lot by air and car.
Example 3: To help lower your carbon footprint, buy local produce. Our groceries can have a high carbon footprint when we buy imported goods.
