COMPOUND ADJECTIVES (BAD-TEMPERED): meaning and examples

Welcome back, readers! Happy Tuesday to you all.

We are continuing with our week about Compound Adjectives. Remember, these are a combination of two adjectives. We often use a hyphen between the two words to combine them into one phrase.

Today's two-word adjective is: BAD-TEMPERED

Definition: An adjective to describe someone who gets angry easily.

Example 1: I worked for a very bad-tempered boss. It was a terrible work environment.

Example 2: My grandfather was bad-tempered. I remember him yelling once at Christmas. I'm so glad my father isn't like that!

Are you bad-tempered? I hope not!

That's it for today. Have a wonderful day!
