COMPOUND ADJECTIVES (WELL-KNOWN): meaning and examples

Today is our last lesson of the week, and we are completing our Compound Adjectives theme
Today's two-word adjective is: WELL-KNOWN.
Definition: An adjective to describe someone or something that is popular or commonly known.
Example 1: My brother is a well-known writer. Sometimes people recognize him when we go out together.
Example 2: My city is home to a well-known artist. Sometimes I see him painting in our town square.
Example 3: Atkins is a well-known diet where you do not eat carbohydrates. I tried it once, but I love bread too much to give it up.
