COOKING OR BAKING (HOBBIES)

Good morning / afternoon / evening everyone, depending on when you are reading this. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin. I hope you are having a great day.

Today we look at a couple more traditional hobbies that people tend to have. I hope some of you will tell us about your own hobbies on one of our social media sites (Facebook or Twitter/X). Do you, or have you, followed either of the hobbies featured today?

Today's hobbies are:
⇒ Cooking or baking
⇒ Photography

In today's world with fast-food restaurants and home delivery, many of us don't cook or bake as much as before.

Here is the difference between the two activities. 
Cooking: the activity of preparing food by combining, mixing, and heating ingredients.
Baking: to cook food with dry heat without direct exposure to a flame, usually in an oven.

Example 1: I am so busy that I don't have time to cook. However, my flatmate loves cooking and baking; he prepares dinner almost every evening and at the weekend he bakes different types of pastries.

Example 2: Now that mobile phones are often equipped with very high-quality cameras, almost everybody has the hobby of photography; however, they don't realize that it's a hobby. ;-)
