COURSE-3: meaning and examples

Good morning again.

Today we look at one last expression with the word COURSE.

Today's expression is: to run its course / to take its course

Meaning: to develop in the usual way and come to the usual end.

Example 1:
Sometimes when a young child cries, it's better to let their tears run their course. Afterwards the child usually feels better.

Example 2:
When you get the flu, the best thing is often to let nature take its course rather than taking lots of medications.

Remember that tomorrow we present the Essential Weekly Vitamin for Spanish-speaking students of English.

Have a great day!
