DONE-1: meaning and examples

Good morning everyone. I hope you had a good weekend.

Did you relax, or use the extra time to get some things done?

Done is the participle of the verb to do and is used a lot in English. For example, the expression that I used above (to get things done) is very common, and means the same as to finish things.

Example 1:
I always get a lot of things done in the office after everyone goes home. There are no interruptions and no phone calls. It's the perfect environment for working.

For the rest of the week we will look at different expressions with this verb.
