DOWN IN THE DUMPS (VOCAB FOR EMOTIONS : meaning and examples

Today we look at two more words / expressions related to emotions and feelings. By adding these words and expressions to your vocabulary, you will be more fluent when you want to express your feelings in English.

Today's positive-emotion word/expression isContent

Meaning: Satisfied or at peace with a situation.

Example 1: Sarah felt content after a productive day at work.

Today's negative-emotion word/expression is: Down in the dumps

Meaning: Feeling sad or depressed.

Example 2: I’ve been feeling down in the dumps since I lost my job and my wife left me.
