DRIVING VOCABULARY (U-EY)
DRIVING VOCABULARY (U-EY): meaning and examples
Happy Friday, everyone! I hope that you've enjoyed our week of lessons about Driving Vocabulary.
We are completing this theme with the slang word U-EY.
Definition: U-ey is slang for the word "U-turn." A U-turn is when a vehicle makes a 180-degree turn, in a U-shaped course, to face in the opposite direction.
Example 1: Oops, I missed our turn. I'll have to make a u-ey.
Example 2: Can you make a u-ey here? I don’t see any signs that say it's illegal.
That's all for this week. Thank you for reading!
We will see you on Monday for another week and a fun new theme. See you then.
