EGG EXPRESSIONS (A TOUGH EGG TO CRACK)

Good morning, everyone! How was your weekend? I hope it was great. Happy Monday to you all. 

Next week is Semana Santa in Spain. With Easter around the corner, we wanted to teach some Egg Expressions. We are starting with A TOUGH EGG TO CRACK. 

Definition: A person or situation that is hard to figure out or difficult to deal with.

Example 1: My boss is a tough egg to crack; some days he's in a really good mood, and other days he isn't. 

Example 2: We have been dating for two months, but I don’t know if she really likes me. She's a tough egg to crack. 

Example 3: We finally figured out what was wrong with the coding on the website, and we fixed the design problem. It was a tough egg to crack!

We also say a tough nut to crack.
