EVER COMPOUND WORDS: meaning and examples

Today we are going to finish our series about EVER by looking at three very common compound words: WHENEVER, WHEREVER, WHATEVER.

Meaning of WHENEVER: at any time that; on any occasion that.

Example 1:
Sharon...you can ask me for help whenever you need it. Don't worry.

Meaning of WHEREVER: in any place.

Example 2:
Welcome everyone. Please, sit wherever you want. The show starts in ten minutes.

Meaning of WHATEVER: any or every; anything or everything.

Example 3:
Jack. As CEO of this corporation, I give you the authority to take whatever action is needed to get us through the crisis! Just keep me informed, please.
