EXCUSES FOR NOT LEARNING ENGLISH-3
EXCUSES FOR NOT LEARNING ENGLISH-3: meaning and examples
I'M NOT GOOD WITH LANGUAGES
Another common excuse (justification) to explain why we don't reach our desired English level is that we have some sort of learning disability with languages.
Students say things like "I'll never learn English," "I'm horrible learning languages" or "It's impossible for me to learn English." If I believe these statements to be true, then chances are I will in fact NOT learn English. They are self-fulfilling prophecies.
It is true that we find differences between learners with respect to their abilities, but virtually anyone can learn a language with hard work, dedication, patience and perseverance. The problem is, most students give up too soon.
