We are beginning with the phrasal verb TO BOOT (SOMEONE) OUT (OF SOMEWHERE).Â
Definition: To force someone to leave a place because he or she is not wanted.Â
Example 1: They booted the angry man out of the baseball game because he was yelling bad words and throwing popcorn.Â
Example 2: If you use your phone in the movie theatre, they will boot you out!
This expression is interesting because it uses BOOT as a verb. You can imagine a person, who is wearing boots, literally kicking someone out of a place!Â
