EXPRESSIONS WITH ‘NEW’: NEW BLOOD: meaning and examples
Welcome back, everyone! Happy New Year to you! I hope 2020 has been good for you so far.
We are beginning this new year with Expressions with the word NEW. We can't think of a better week to do so than this first week of Daily Vitamin lessons of the NEW year and the NEW decade.
Our first expression of the year is: NEW BLOOD
Definition: People who have just started working or living somewhere and are energetic and enthusiastic (and often young).
Example 1: The boss just hired some new blood. They are currently in orientation.
Example 2: After today's meeting, you will all meet the new blood. We have high hopes that they will help increase our sales.
