EXPRESSIONS WITH 'SAND': BUILT ON SAND

Happy Monday, everyone! We hope you're having a wonderful start to your week. 

This week will be our last week of Daily Vitamin lessons for this 2019-2020 academic year. To celebrate summer, the theme is Expressions with the word SAND. We are beginning with the expression BUILT ON SAND. 

Definition: Unstable because it lacks a solid foundation. 

Example 1: They didn't get the necessary approval for the business before it opened, and they had problems from day one. This is what happens when your restaurant is built on sand. 

Example 2: We were both married when we met. It's true that our relationship felt like it was built on sand. But 25 years later, we are still happy together.
