EXPRESSIONS WITH SPRING (SPRING INTO ACTION)

Are you ready for our second lesson with expressions with the word SPRING? Today we are looking at the expression TO SPRING INTO ACTION. 

Definition: To begin moving suddenly. 

Example 1: Smoke started coming into the room and everyone sprang into action. Carrie grabbed the children and Jim grabbed the fire extinguisher, while Sam called the fire department. 

Example 2: We sprang into action when the boss came into the room. 

Example 3: The baby was choking, but the waiter sprang into action and saved her.
