EXPRESSIONS WITH START (1): meaning and examples
I hope you had a great weekend, especially those lucky Daily Vitamin readers who had a long 3-day weekend! Today we are going to begin a short series with expressions with the word START. There are many meanings and expressions with this word.
Today's expression is: A FRESH START
It means: to have the opportunity to begin something again, with no reference to the past. We also use this expression with a verb adjective structure (to start fresh).
Example 1:
Julie moved to Arizona after her divorce. She wanted a fresh start.
-OR-
Julie moved to Arizona after her divorce. She wanted to start fresh.
Example 2:
This project is not going well. The objectives are not clear and I don't like the work that we are doing. Let's throw everything out and get a fresh start.
