EXPRESSIONS WITH ‘SWIM’ (SWIM WITH THE SHARKS)

As you know, this week we are looking at expressions with the word SWIM in them.

Today's expression is: swim with the sharks

Definition: To operate amongst dangerous people. To take a risk.  

Example 1: Before you start swimming with the sharks, consider this—the last person who went into business with them wound up completely bankrupt. Be careful! 

Example 2: I know you think you're an excellent poker player, but you're swimming with the sharks—you could lose all your money against these guys.
