EXPRESSIONS WITH YEAR-3: meaning and examples
Good morning.
Today we continue celebrating the New Year with expressions that use the word year.
Today's expression is: Leap year
Meaning: one year in every four years when February has 29 days instead of 28. A person born on February 29 may be called a "leapling". In common years they usually celebrate their birthdays on February 28th or March 1st.
Example 1:
He was born on February 29th, in a leap year, so technically he only has a birthday every four years; however, he usually celebrates it on February 28th.
