FIND-4: meaning and examples

Good morning everyone.

Today we finish our series of Daily Vitamins about expressions with the English word FIND.

Today's find expression is: to find somebody out

Meaning
: to discover that someone has done something wrong.

Example 1:
She had been cheating on her tax returns, but it was years before she was found out.

Example 2:
Okay...you found me out. Yes, I am the one who has been stealing the paperclips from the office. But I promise that I will not do it anymore. Please don't fire me!
