FRUIT EXPRESSIONS-4

Good morning.

This week we have been learning some common expressions that include the names of fruits in them.

Today's expression is: to go bananas (slang)

Meaning: to become angry, crazy or silly.

Example 1:
When he found out that his wife had betrayed him, he went bananas! He began to shout and pace back and forth; I've never seen him lose his cool like that. He went crazy!

Example 2:
When my son eats chocolate or other things with a lot of sugar, he goes bananas. That's why we try to limit the amount of sugar that he eats.
