GERUND OR INFINITIVE? (DANCE)
GERUND OR INFINITIVE? (DANCE): meaning and examples
Hello, everyone! Happy Monday to each of you. I hope that you had a wonderful weekend.
This week's theme is "Gerund vs. Infinitive." We will give you a sentence and ask you to complete it with either a gerund (a verb ending in -ING) or an infinitive (an infinitive verb with TO).
Here is an example:
Thank you for _____ (HELP) me with the dishes.
The answer is HELPING (a gerund). We always use a gerund form of the verb after the preposition FOR.
Here is your challenge for today.
Sentence: Would you like _____ (DANCE) with me?
Give us your answer on one of our social media sites (Twitter or Facebook) and we will post the correct answer later; we will also include the correct answer in tomorrow's Daily Vitamin email.
Good luck!
