HELP EXPRESSIONS-3: meaning and examples
Today we finish our look at expressions that use the word help in them.
Today's help expression is: Someone can (can not) help doing something OR Someone can not help but do something.
Meaning: used to say that it is impossible to prevent or avoid something.
Example 1:
I can't help thinking that he knows a lot more than he has told us.
Example 2:
He always ends up arguing with his wife, even on their 15th wedding anniversary! He just can't help it.
