HIGH-4: meaning and examples

Today we finish our series about expressions with the adjective HIGH.
Today's HIGH expression is: high and low
Meaning: everywhere.
Example 1:
I've searched high and low for my glasses, but I can't find them anywhere. Have you seen them?
Example 2:
Janet searched high and low, but she couldn't find the kitten and finally had to ask the man to help her.
