IDIOMS WITH (IN IT TO WIN IT): meaning and examples

Hello everyone! Welcome to our second day of Idioms with "Win."

Today we are looking at the expression TO BE IN IT TO WIN IT

Definition: we use this colloquial expression when we want to express that someone is serious about winning or reaching their objective. 

Example 1: I worked extra hard on this proposal. I'm in it to win it!

Example 2: I can't believe how hard he's training for the marathon. He's in it to win it

I think we can probably use this expression with virtually every Olympic athlete who is competing. Wouldn't you agree?
