Definition: A letter (typically a critical letter) addressed to a person or group and meant to be published.
Example 1: In their open letter to the local government, the school's teachers criticised how they handled school closures during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Example 2: For years, the road to our city was old and worn. It took an open letter from a young girl to finally get the local city council to repair the road.
