We begin with the idiom TO CAST A SPELL ON SOMEONE / SOMETHING
Definition: To use magic to make something happen to someone (like falling in love or acting differently than normal).
Example 1: In my favourite book, the girl casts a spell on her teacher, so the teacher lets them play all day.
Example 2: I was in love with her the second I saw her. It was like she cast a spell on me.
