Definition: To be the clear winner.Â
Example 1: I think Charlie wins the costume contest, hands down. His costume is great!
Example 2: He won the election, hands down.Â
We can also use this expression without the word "win."
Example 3: You are, hands down, the best employee we have.Â
Example 4: This is, hands down, the most fun vacation I've ever had.Â
