IDK (I DON'T KNOW)

Hello again everyone. Happy Thursday to you and welcome back to the Daily Vitamin. I hope you are having a great week. 

Today we look at two more initialisms; the first is more common in writing (emails, social media) than in conversation, while the second is used both in writing and in conversation.

Today's 1st Initialism is: IDK

Meaning IDK: I don't know.

As I mentioned above, IDK is mostly seen in writing. In conversation we would just say "I don't know" not "I-D-K".

Sentence 1: This is not the same as most of my problems. IDK, I'm not sure how to solve this problem. 

Again, sentence 1 would most likely be seen written, perhaps in an email or in a text message.  

Today's 2nd Initialism is: KPI

Meaning KPI: Key Performance Indicator

KPI is mostly used in business and management.

Sentence 2: Website traffic is an important KPI, but conversion rates matter even more.

Sentence 3: If we don’t hit our revenue KPI by the end of the month, we’ll need to adjust our sales strategy.
