IN A ROW
IN A ROW: meaning and examples
Good morning. I hope everyone had a nice weekend.
Today's expression is: in a row
Meaning: something that happens several times in exactly the same way each time, and nothing different happens in the time between.
Example 1:
The team has suffered their third loss in a row. I don't think there is any way they can win the league championship now.
Example 2:
Housing prices have dropped for the fourth month in a row. Some people now believe we are in a recession.
