Meaning: this adjective is used when we want to express strong displeasure or anger due to a perceived injustice or unfairness.

Example 1: The university students were indignant about the sudden increase in the university tuition fees.

Example 2: The marketing director felt indignant when his hard work was dismissed without consideration.
