INTERJECTIONS (2): meaning and examples

Good morning!

Today we will explain another common interjection in English:

Today's interjection is: OUCH!

We use it when: we hurt ourselves to express our own physical pain.

A possible translation: ¡Ay! or ¡Uy!

Example 1:
Ouch! I just hit my thumb with a hammer! That really hurts!

Example 2:
Linda: Ouch!
Neil: What's the matter?
Linda: You just stepped on my foot! Didn't you even notice?
Neil: No, sorry about that!

Have a wonderful day!
