INTERJECTIONS (3)
INTERJECTIONS (3): meaning and examples
Today we finish this week's series with one last interjection.
Today's interjection is: EWW!
We use it when: we see something that we find disgusting or revolting.
A possible translation: ¡eks!
Example 1:
Owen: Can you help me clean the cat box?
Jan: Eww, no! If you want, I'll feed your cat but I'm not touching the cat box!
Example 2:
Donna: Here, smell the milk. I think it's bad.
Ewan: Eww! That smells disgusting! Throw it away!
Now that you have a few English interjections to add to your vocabulary, go and practice them this weekend! Meanwhile, tomorrow we have the Essential Weekly Vitamin in for Spanish-speaking students of English.
Have a pleasant day!
