IS THERE A GOOD RESTAURANTE AROUND HERE?

As you know, this week we are looking at different phrases and expressions that we use when we are travelling to ask for different information. Again, even if you are not travelling, you might use some of these functional phrases in any place that you are not familiar with.  

Today's travel-related question is: IS THERE A GOOD RESTAURANTE AROUND HERE?

Meaning: This is a less-informal way to ask for directions to a restaurant, or other places. When we are in a place that we are not familiar with, this is a phrase that we can use to ask for directions.

Example 1:
Kathy: Good afternoon... excuse me, is there a good restaurant around here? 
Nancy: Actually, no... not that I know of. I would recommend going downtown. You'll have more options downtown.
Kathy: Thank you very much!

Example 2: 
Greg: Hello. Pardon me. I'm trying to find a supermarket. Is there a good supermarket around here? 
Donna: Yes. If you continue three blocks on this same street, you'll see a supermarket on the corner of Vine Street and 5th Avenue.  
Greg: Thank you so much!
Donna: You're welcome. I hope you find everything you need.
